Hot take - most "palaeo-accurate" redesigns of JP dinosaurs tend to suck out all the character from the originals, ending up as generic palaeoart that at most share a colour pattern. Very few actually adapt the best design elements into a more anatomically contemporary framework.
Why is my book taking so long to finish? Well, one of many reasons are Aetosaurs! They are very complicated to reconstruct AND my book has a lot of them! 😅 But Aetosaurs are awesome! Aetosaurs are pseudosuchians, and thus related to modern crocodilians
I’m certain that a good number of people will enjoy Jurassic World Rebirth, and more power to them. I did not. I liked parts of it and I likely need some time along with maybe a rewatch to mull it over, but still.
