This summer our Youth Empowerment Academy hit new strides thanks to the tremendous support of the Columbia Urban League and the work of our staff! Two sessions of the academy were hosted and a total of 19 teens completed the program! Congrats grads! tinyurl.com/p843wn9s

This morning @ColaFire Assistant Chief Chris Kip joined a panel of first responders to address teens in the Summer Youth Employment Program for the Columbia Housing Authority. It was great to take part and discuss career opportunities in these noble professions with the kids.

Firefighter Courtney Clowney had a great time talking with a girls summer youth group at the Columbia Bethlehem Community Center this week. She answered a lot of insightful questions from the kids about her career in the fire service as well as fire safety and preparedness.
