Some world class qualifying tactics out of Birnbaum and Stitt today. The 35 and 36 SLOWEST times today… all you had to run was a 52second 400 to make the final.

I just don’t understand people that want to spend time doing something without the drive to be the best at it. I just don’t. My brain doesn’t ’participate’ in things like that.

Started the day at Texas Relays, where Jackson Kerth took 5th as a soph in Shot-Put. Ripped straight back to get in the last true workout before district with the milers. I’m tired, but I love it, and I’m proud of the work these kids put in.

Just ran into one of my runners at Starbucks while I was reading before church. She didn’t get any homework done yesterday. Her eyes however, lit up when she told me that she got 9 hours of sleep last night. Kids need rest just like we do. Don’t forget the fun and rest part.

What I like about hosting meets: it’s building something you can see. Each year you see the growth. You see more coaches happy to come to a quality meet. More kids smile bc it’s their favorite meet of the year. Pic- Sr. who wanted a selfie, as it was her favorite every year.

American distance runners are saying screw it, we'll take on the world, we don't care what you've done. For so many years there was an almost fear of other countries and runners This generation has no fear. They just believe in themselves and go for it.

XC meet directors: How many port-a-potties do you normally get? We have HS only meet. 4 races total. 16-18 teams. I have done 3-4 in the past. Have a PO prepared for 6 this year. I just don’t want lines greater than 4ppl. @TTFCA @TexasXCCoaches @CoachDistance
