Daily motivation. For those who think mediocracy is an illness. Silently changing the world, one thought at a time.
Developing your self esteem is a solo exercise that requires full control over your own brain. Sift through your thought pattern. Escort the negative thoughts out when they arrive and replace them with goals/direction. Be disciplined enough to do this daily.
Start living your own life and STOP LIVING SOMEONE ELSE’s TikTok life.
Sometimes, less is more. All the data collection and monitoring doesn’t always produce faster results. Don’t overload with useless data.
Material things are nice but you’ll never be wealthy without working on those things that can’t be purchased….. your health, your self esteem, your character… improving those is free.
A true leader/team captain is someone who makes everyone better and brings them along on their journey. Be a Team Captain.
If you’re going to race fast, you’ve got to be comfortable getting uncomfortable….
If you do the proper work during the week, the proper race will show up on the weekend. Bring enthusiasm and purpose today and spread it around. You’ll thank me on the weekend when you have a bib number on.
It’s your choice if you want to listen to people that tell you what you ‘can’t do.’ Or what you can’t accomplish. However, I’d find different people to hang out with.
The greatest project you will ever work on? YOU! You are the project! Work on it, develop it, change it, foster it, and guide it. Just don’t stop…..
The team workout today was amazing. The energy the kids had was unequalled thus far this summer. Maybe weather (it was only 85 degrees when we ran) had something to do with it. I don’t care. Being that to practice daily. Stand by for results:)
The loudest you will ever yell is through your actions. Keep your mouth closed and your options open. Speak loudly and clearly with your actions.
You can control all elements on a treadmill. Use at your discretion. Yep, it’s boring. So what?
Check X, Insta, and ANY social media and GET OFF. Doom scrolling is nothing but slow brain rot. There is a whole life to live if you put your phone away.
As a coach, I try to GET IN THE WAY of the negative thoughts that athletes process all the time. I try to interrupt the process and insert a positive thought. However, there are also times that I need to get OUT OF THE WAY and just let the body run. It’s a fine line.
If you don’t do this on easy days, don’t expect much from hard days…. Make easy days easy.
Begin the process of believing in yourself TODAY. It’s one day at a time but the result builds….. TODAY is day 1.
Amazing day today! My last Senior signed to run in college next year. That means, all SEVEN of the seniors (100%) are now signed. And both of my Senior girls have signed. That means 9/9 this year. Epic! And looking forward to seeing them grow next year:)
Of all the things to learn in life, start with the body. Your health is your wealth. Don’t give up control of what goes in it to a doctor (or anyone else). Learn about it. Figure it out. You only get one chance.
There’s something special about distance runners. The ones that learn to respect the challenge and honor the fight become warriors….. in life. Hire them. They don’t know how to quit.
