I tell this to everyone I know! Not just track & field…but every sport. The burnout is real because kids are starting younger and training nonstop for a time goal and wanting the top results in every event, every year. Unrealistic expectations & goals lead to consistent burnout!
American track and field has a problem: burnout. Our athletes are exhausted by the time they reach the pro level. Time to rethink the system. Club track and field and the NCAA need an overhaul. Let’s learn from other countries and prioritize our athletes success over profits!🗣️💰
