Congrats to @lesliharris who is elected unopposed. She has championed housing issues and been independent while also being collaborative.
WOW! Somebody pinch me! 💛💜 I am grateful that my constituents have entrusted me with another four years as their councilmember. The last several months have been some of the toughest in my life, but I know my mom is celebrating this win with me.

UPDATE on Uptown BWA 👇
While testing has passed for the majority of the East Bank of New Orleans, some areas remain under boil water advisory. The limited parts of Uptown New Orleans that are still under boil water advisory includes: 4900 - 5000 block of Loyola Ave 2200 - 2500 block of Upperline St.
SWBNO in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health, is testing water quality samples, which may take up to 24 hours to achieve results. Until clear test results are back, a precautionary boil water advisory remains in effect for a limited portion of NO East Bank which
Been in touch with @SWBNewOrleans about the water break Uptown. The valves are pretty much closed but the break remains. Full water pressure won’t be felt until break repaired. No ETR yet on break repair but agency knows its urgency. BWA usually lasts 24 hours from inception.
I usually don’t comment on federal issues but this is a local issue, too. Someone living here with the federal government’s full knowledge and approval for nearly 50 years is hardly Public Enemy Number 1. This should not happen. nola.com/news/politics/…
This is a major win not for us but the City. We appreciate the Court’s ruling and look forward to a brighter future for the City with this result.

I’m told all load is back online. All customers experiences a power outage should have services restored ASAP! This event requires a thorough investigation. I join my colleagues @EricSkrmetta @JPMorrell @CmGiarrusso @HelenaMorenoLA in demanding answers from MISO & @Entergy
UPDATE: some customers Uptown have been restored. The new ETR for Lakeview is 9:30.
UPDATE: 52,000 customers without power now.
I also spoke PSC Commissioner Skrmetta who said MISO will not give him details.
While it’s encouraging that a PSC member is getting answers, it should be noted the federal govt, not the state, regulates MISO. Accountability in store? Way too soon to say.

TY @davantelewis for the update
I’ve talked with MISO. A generator was planned to be out for maintenance. However, a generator tripped and there wasn’t enough energy to meet the demand. But, I’m told it’s contained and coming online. But why was the forecasting off?
UPDATE: 52,000 customers without power now.
According to Entergy, this is a load shed event as directed by MISO. That means it is intentional. The question is why?

I’m aware of power outages in Uptown, Lakewood, and Lakeview. For Uptown, the current estimate is 7 pm restoration. Waiting to hear on other neighborhoods.
