I voted against the Education Bill because it fails to deliver real change. Thousands of pupils finish school this week — will they look back and say this made a difference? When they have kids of their own, will they remember this Bill shaping their future?

I support the immediate recognition of the state of Palestine. But that in itself will not end the war. The mass starvation, indiscriminate killing and illegal occupation must end now.
Thanks to everyone in Portobello who took the time to speak to us tonight. Lots of conversations about local and national issues. Many people realising that Scotland needs a #newdirection and the SNP are out of ideas!
Congratulations to Rachel Reeves and Darren Jones for announcing the £500 million social impact fund which will help transform children and youth services in the coming years and into which social investors may add an additional £500 million.

The global race towards clean power is on and Scotland should be at the forefront of it. Scottish Labour will end the SNP's ideological block on clean nuclear energy and bring jobs and investment to Scotland. heraldscotland.com/news/25258176.…
Sarah has been a tremendous figure in the Scottish Labour movement and a hardworking and dedicated MSP, I have enjoyed working alongside her on Musselburgh related matters. Will certainly be missed in the scottish parliament, but I wish her all the best 🌹
It has been the honour of my life to serve my community in the Scottish Parliament, but I’ve decided not to stand in next year’s election. edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/long-serv… 1/
9years ago today Jo was murdered. I think about her every single day and am lucky to have so many wonderful memories, but the pain never goes. Whatever our views we must never normalise abuse, threats, intimidation and political violence #JoCox #Sisters #MoreInCommon
It was fantastic to have these pupils along at the Education and Children's Services Committee to present a report on school uniform guidance. I applaud the work they put into forming the guidance and their presentation and taking and answering questions.
Congratulations to Lynette, Finlay, Amy, and Delta from @PrestonLodgeHS and @dunbar_grammar who presented new school uniform guidance that was developed by pupils to our Education and Children’s Services Committee on Tuesday on . Find out more: orlo.uk/pZE5q

It’s the honour of my life be elected to represent the community I love and call home. My promise to my new constituents is that I will work tirelessly to be a local champion for you.
A big thank you to all of the students and @scotsyounglab members who came out canvassing across Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse for @DavyRussell4HLS! Your hard work is part of the reason we’ve been able to return the first Labour MSP for the constituency in 14 years 🌹🏴
