Great conversations in Clapham Town this morning. Lots of residents praising the 200+ new trees across the ward and keen to catch up with our hardworking councillors. 🌳🌹

Today marks 20 years since Jean Charles de Menezes was tragically killed at Stockwell Station. This morning, a moving tribute was held to remember his life. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Today was the @NGSOpenGardens and we were delighted to visit the garden of @AmielWayne in Clapham Town raising funds for @trinityhospice “1st featured on BBC2 Gardeners' World, 2018, it’s a visual feast of intoxicating colours as Clapham meets Jamaica!” ngs.org.uk

Update: Burst Water Main on Kings Avenue 🚨 💧 Thames Water, Fire, Police & Council teams worked overnight — water flow now much reduced. 🚧 Parts of Acre Lane, Bedford Rd & Clapham Park Rd remain closed while structural safety is assessed. Buses diverted. ⬇️

A memorable #PrideInLondon I marched with @lambeth_council colleagues (with the chief exec) under the banner of Trans solidarity. It’s always a magical day but this year certainly felt poignant in many ways. Now it’s time to get planning for Lambeth Pride 2026!

Clapham Town Councillors in partnership with McDonald’s have today led a litter pick of Clapham High Street and the surrounding streets. As a result, McDonald’s will now do a daily patrol of the affected areas (behind the high street in Clapham Town) Thank you McDonald’s!
