I asked the @metpoliceuk Professional Standards Unit, could they explain the discrepancy in these two statements made by the same officer, from @ealingMPS. They declined to answer. Instead, they referred the matter to the IOPC. There is at least, a 6 month waiting list....

How has @BBCNews got this so wrong? They acknowledge the perpetrators were riding a Talaria motorcycle, yet they're talking about dangerous cycling? Here's some advice: a motorcycle is not a bicycle, and riding one is not "cycling".
First, the council refuses to make its roads safe for cycling on, then it insensitively tidies away the shameful & embarrassing evidence of its neglect after the inevitable tragic consequences. How very @TowerHamletsNow... standard.co.uk/news/transport…
Two BMW's parked on the pavement in the exact same spot. One from last September, and this one from Tuesday. One didn't even get a warning letter, whilst the other one? NIP. What this highlights to me at least, is the inconsistencies of the @metpoliceuk TORs team.
Dane Road W13 Parked on the pavement. Reported. 13.15hrs.
I know. I have reposted this several times before. But in terms of laugh out loud moments? Its hard to beat! The driver wasn't laughing though. You can guess why 😂
I inadvertently, nearly caused this vulnerable female driver to have a heart attack. My sincere apologies. But if you hadn't been so brazenly using your phone, it wouldn't have happened. Code 1504.
West Ealing (where else) This driver pulls away with the phone still in his hand. So, do I report for phone use, or, not in full control of the vehicle?
Thanks to @susanelizh25 for reminding me of this classic video of Acton High Street I took last year. So, I will ask the question again. How many things can you spot that are wrong on this clip? Clue: All are easily solvable if @EalingCouncil could be bothered.
Acton High Street 16.35hrs. How many things can you spot that are wrong in this clip?
Broadway, West Ealing @tfl. Can you confirm please, that the passengers that are alighting and boarding this SL8 in West Ealing this afternoon parked on white zig lines, are insured to do so? Because if they aren't, you should be extremely concerned.

Shame. They only got a warning letter. And yes, I am disappointed @metpoliceuk
Windsor Road, Ealing This driver, has failed to grasp the concept, that his van is too big to fit on this house's driveway. And it's such a massive inconvenience, to carry whatever he is unloading a few extra metres, he blocks the pavement, endangering pedestrians. Reported
West Feeling The real villain of the piece here, is not this brain dead delivery rider, but the companies that use his services with no comeback on them. @Deliveroo @JustEatUK @ubereats_uk and the rest. A national disgrace.
The Grove, Ealing What is a more effective deterrent? Approaching the driver and informing them, they are going to be reported, and why. Or as in this case, say nothing, and the first the driver realises they are up shit street, is when the brown envelope drops on the door mat?
It certainly is "Grim up North".
Room for one more along Allerton Road..
@AshleyNealDI @CitizenUddin @DVSAEnforcement Even goal posts not alert driver. I think driver distracted by passengers shouting, "You gone the wrong way"! x.com/kiernanmb/stat…
School bus crash in Eccles Salford this afternoon . Distressing 🙏

Interacting with drivers is a very dangerous path to be go down. It's not our job to lecture drivers on their shortcomings. Grab the evidence and move on. The NIP this driver received, will be more than enough hopefully, for her to change her ways and learn an important lesson
