If ‘the Presidency’ hid the fact that special envoy Mcebisi Jonas’ visa was declined, and if we don’t have an ambassador to the US during critical trade talks, then ‘the Presidency’ is in no position to issue condemnations.
The Presidency condemns the Democratic Alliance's harassment of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Special Envoy to North America, Mr Jonas Mcebisi tinyurl.com/29wvrfz6
A municipal trade union allowing itself to be drawn into a political battle against the @CityTshwane city manager, who represents the employer. Completely unacceptable. Is this enough for the mayor to break her silence on the issue?

The irony 🤦♀️ A burst pipe feeding Bakenkop Reservoir has been gushing since 08:30 (Ref: 6001234655), wasting kilolitres of water in a dolomite-risk area. Meanwhile, Soshanguve residents are without water. Where is the urgency? Where is the accountability?
The water situation in Soshanguve. Minimal communication from the city’s leadership, aside from paid influencers denying the problem here. More money for tankers, but fewer available in times of crisis.

Block DD, Soshanguve earlier today. Big spending on water tankers, but where are they when communities need them?

There is a Rand Water maintenance shut down in Soshanguve. Where are all the @CityTshwane water tankers? The ANC coalition took money away from water and electricity teams to hire more tanker contractors. Where are they?
Massive result for the DA in the two most recent by elections. In all 3 by-elections this year, the DA has significantly grown its share of the vote. Voters clearly want the party back in Tshwane. Ward 56 from 62% to 80%. Ward 98 from 39% to 73%. Wow! Ward 44 from 75% to 88%.
Something worth sharing, an extract from @CilliersB.
The results are in ! The @Our_DA have won both Ward 44 and Ward 98 in the City of Tshwane. With support in Ward 98 going from 39% to 72 % ! On top of winning Ward 44 with 88% of the vote. The residents of Tshwane are uniting behind the DA’s rescue effort 🔵🇿🇦
Good thing you folks are coming to Tshwane tomorrow. We have two by-elections in the city. Let’s see how @Action4SA does.

🚨 Why politically impartial Johann Mettler was appointed as city manager of @CityTshwane, and why the ANC coalition wants to get rid of him: shorturl.at/1AxSP
Surveying the vast landscape of the President’s prerogative, how’s that Whitfield trip looking now?
🚨 I have written to the Speaker of the National Assembly to request an urgent parliamentary debate on the disturbing allegations that emerged today regarding SAPS leadership. Serious claims made by KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, have exposed…
Deep background on ANC’s approach to ‘dialogue’. I’m old enough to remember President Mbeki’s references to a ‘national consensus’ in the same hegemonic spirit. Difference is then the ANC had a hegemonic 68% of the vote. Now they have 40%, and rely on other parties to govern.
Let’s take a brief historical look at the ANC’s approach to “dialogue”. Where to start? Perhaps the big picture. 1/22
The mayor of Tshwane Dr Nasiphi Moya must clarify her own position now that the ANC, her senior coalition partner, wants the city manager out.
Why the ANC in Tshwane wants to get rid of Johann Mettler, appointed in September 2022, as city manager. Feels like what happened in Nelson Mandela Bay in 2018.
