Daniel C. Comeaux
@ChiefComeauxDPD
From the feds to the frontlines, proudly serving as the 31st Dallas Police Chief. Account not monitored 24/7; for emergencies call 911.
Proud of our Traffic Unit for keeping things rolling downtown —making it safer for drivers and pedestrians.
In downtown Dallas, more than 1,000 citations and 100 warnings have been issued in since April 25. Let’s all prioritize safety on our roads! Stay alert, obey traffic signals, and eliminate distractions. Together, we can create a safer environment for everyone in our community!
Central Business District officers are working hard to keep the CBD area safe for our neighbors and downtown workers. Overall crime in CBD is down 25% - year-to-date! Thank you to the CBD officers and downtown stakeholders who make a difference every day!

I said I will be a present Chief, and tonight that meant lacing up my sneakers. Community engagement is about building trust, which is why we came out tonight for the connection, not the competition. I had a blast, even though my team lost!
In a stunning loss after back to back wins, the Cops were beat 71-59 by the Community at the 5th Annual “No More Violence” game. Tonight was about more than a game: it was about forming new bonds to help keep the peace in our City. Coming together is how real change begins.
Since May, Operation Justice Trail resulted in 197 violent felons captured, with more than 1,300 prior arrests. If you’re wanted anywhere in the US, turn yourself in before we find you. Crime Stoppers will pay $1,000 for tips that lead to the arrest of certain felony fugitives.

Our school resource officers are the first line of defense for our students, and they have my highest appreciation. I was honored to help open @NASRO_Info's annual conference, where SROs from around the country will learn, connect, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

7/7 is an painful day in @DallasPD’s history. Today we gathered to honor our fallen at the Southwest Patrol Division, and every day we wear this badge and uniform we make a promise to honor their memory.

I’m a big believer in celebrating your team! This morning I had the pleasure of recognizing some of our sworn officers and professional staff for their hard work and tenure to our Department and great City. Congratulations and thank you all for your selfless service to Dallas!

As leaders, we build each other up by being present and learning from each other. This morning I was able to spend time with these men at the 5th annual “Gentlemen BBQ & Cigars by the Lake” - thank you to everyone who came out and joined us!

Starting the weekend rooting for the @DallasWings with the newest @dallasmavs and No. 1 NBA draft pick @Cooper_Flagg! Great to see @mcuban, @olmaxpros8 and @KyrieIrving too! Big things coming for the best in Dallas!

Big thanks to these community partners, the South Central Civic League, for working with us to make our neighborhoods cleaner, safer and stronger. Making an impact - side by side!

Teamed up with Chief Clay Morris and the Pell City Police Department for three days of intense SWAT training. I’m proud of our SWAT team sharing their knowledge and experience with these officers - grateful we have the opportunity to lead the way!

Operation Justice Trail is in full motion!
Know something? Turn your tip into cash and help us bring fugitives to justice!
Proud of our PNI team for another successful investigation that put criminals in jail and got dangerous drugs and guns off our streets. See the whole story here: wp.me/p43x0e-hry

Great start to the morning connecting with local leaders over breakfast with the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands and Councilmember Stewart. Meaningful connections like these help us stay connected and focused on what truly matters.

No child should ever be a victim. Incredibly proud of teams like the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force — and especially #DallasPD’s dedicated ICAC Unit — who work every day to protect the most vulnerable in our communities.

Couldn’t ask for a better team! Appreciate the grind, the grit, and the way we show up together. Let’s keep pushing! #DallasPD
A coordinated effort between investigative teams and frontline officers led to the successful execution of multiple search warrants. Firearms and drugs seized—crime disrupted!– Read the details here: wp.me/p43x0e-hpB
Breakfast of Champions! Started the day right with some great food and even better company at El Ranchito. Had a chance to catch up with community members, talk about what’s going on in the department, and go over some current events.

I meant what I said.
“Violent criminals, pick another city. You’re not welcome here.” – @ChiefComeauxDPD As part of Operation Justice Trail, 98 wanted felons were arrested in May, who are responsible for more than 700 total arrests. Read more here: wp.me/p43x0e-hnB
Excited to team up with Uptown, Inc. - their new space is more than a building; it's a resource that strengthens our community and helps keep our city safe.
Today Chief Comeaux and members of his command staff participated in the unveiling of Uptown Dallas Inc.’s new Safety H.Q. This building will serve as a strategic operations space designed to enhance visibility, coordination, and public safety across the Uptown.
