Hot and humid weather continues today, with heat indices topping 100 degrees in much of northeastern IL and northwestern IN. Strong heavy rain producing storms develop over northern IL with a cold front this PM. More waves of storms at times thru Sat. #ILwx #INwx

Ridge is closed due to work by the DWM on a sewer main and lead service line replacement project. The official detour routes follow Ashland to Foster for SB traffic and Broadway to Devon for NB traffic. Do not use side streets to access DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
