I'm feeling a bit 4ish, and you?
Which medieval snail are you today?
Sorry if this is a repeat for some! It appears that by beginning my post by tagging someone, I made it a reply, and it was buried on my timeline. Here it is for everyone else! #MaryMagdalene
@AlabasterMiss reminds me it's #MaryMagdalene's feast day! This lovely little sculpture is from #Moissac Abbey, part of a pieta scene. Circa 14thc. #hair! #MedievalMonday (late) #medieval @chapps: beautifully preserved #polychromy! @BooksTeaFilms @smyth_jeannette @chartres_Fiona
I have a new favorite knight carving!
Obsérvese el traje ignífugo de San Jorge.
For #MaryMagdalene's feast day, one of the 5 best photos I've ever taken. From the #trumeau in #Autun's Saint Lazare. 19th c. & fabulous. I defy you to show me more sensuous drapery! #blackandwhitephotography @BooksTeaFilms @smyth_jeannette @Blott_Blackpool @StroudStory, esp.!

Splendid. Also, very much my look when I open my news feed in the morning.

Hey, y'all! #TilesonTuesday & #Dragon lovers are covered. This was made by Juan de Badajoz for the #Leon #cloister, early 16th c. Or is he a #serpent? Looks like he had a bad night, but I'm in love with that scarf! @NCDrusus38 @BooksTeaFilms @ArtHistAnimalia @TheHistoryMouse

#StaircaseSaturday This is not famous, but an indelible memory for me. The ad for the apt. said, "not on the ground floor," & we thought, "OK, fine." It turned out it was on the 6th floor. We had to schlep it 2-4 times a day for a week. #oops #ParisSaintGermain @BooksTeaFilms

I've learned it's #StaircaseSaturday, so here's a #staircase from #saintpaulmn. The Endicott Building back stairs, 1899.

I can't see the image on my previous post. Let's see if this works. pilgrimtothepast.com/post/wistful-r…
Museo del Duomo of #Milano is an underrated gem. It has over 180 sculptures which once graced the cathedral. Just one: #angel holding the crown of thorns, circa 1485. The pensive, internal gaze just slays me. #medieval #medievaltwitter @BooksTeaFilms @WittsPat @Phyllida1234
