After a leak in the canal at “Culvert 16” the canal at Mollington was empty. Now partially refilled but towpath shut from Backford Bridge to Knolls Bridge. Workmen on site say at least a month. We think might be up to 3 months. Road diversion is pretty busy 😕. @ShitChester

CWaC need to close the Greenway path between Liverpool Road and the access on Brook Lane on 3 and 4 July. May only be closed one day, depends on progress. We need to erect scaffolding to carry out a repair on the wall above. There will be a signed diversion along Brook Lane
Fancy trying an e-bike but don’t fancy coughing up several thousand pounds? You can lease one. Lots of people lease cars, here is a company that does it for e-bikes. £200 deposit, £50/ month minimum 6 months. Take a look hurrecane.bike/our-ebikes/fre…
Fettle didn’t last long, at least we still have Bren Bikes and The Bike Factory, plus the big groups like Evans and Halfords. @ShitChester
Merseyside Cycling Campaign have invited us to look at cycling things in their area <20 miles ridden at a social pace with plenty of stops. Train £6.40. Mersey Ferry return for an extra 20p (we think). Interested? Say in the poll when you could go. This does not commit you.
Sunday quiz: Can anyone identify this, at the apex of a very pleasant 40 ish miler from Chester?

Doing good trade on the stalls today, pedaling to make smoothies, giving route planning advice, tips for cycling with kids et cetera. Lots of people interested in cycling. Really nice to be able to help them to branch out a bit more.

Setting up the stand for another day of the great big green weekend 😁

Plenty of excitement at our stall by the smoothie maker. Pedal to make your own smoothie!

Great turn out from @NewtonPrimarySc today going to @GreatBigGreenW in Chester today. Many great bikes and riders. Maybe they will get in the lifetime habit of making short journeys to town by bike. An example for all of us!

Bank Holiday Monday quiz. This gap leads to the Greenway, but from which road?

Our streets are way too important as public assets to let them be design by traffic engineers. The real reversed street pyramid should not start with mobility. It should start with nature! (🖼️ by Reena Mahajan)
Went round Fountains roundabout a couple of times on Saturday. Nat actually as bad as I had feared. I think the lights further down St Oswald St are making the traffic come in pulses so you can nip through. Anyone else trilled it without traffic lights? How do you rate it?
