Congrats to @DanPatrick, @electcharles and the Texas House for banning hemp products that don’t get you high, but help with pain. Looking forward to your legislation banning alcohol. Also when vets are arrested for possession of what was legal, it’s on you and so is the fallout.…
Nah, its easy to figure out. Money, power, and influence.
I just can’t figure this one out. It’s all so odd and seems to run counter to what the public wants.
Regarding what Governor @GregAbbott_TX is looking for regarding THC… This statement was sent to me from @Mahaleris , Press Secretary for the Governor. #txlege

In today's hearing on SB 5 - the latest, beefed-up version of the Texas THC ban - Sen. Charles Perry has made several eyebrow-raising statements. One being that he believes comparisons between cannabis and alcohol are "not debatable" because "they'll both kill ya."
The hearing on SB 5 is happening NOW. I'll be rounding up some takeaways re: the THC ban of it all, and how the proposed bill doesn't seem to address the asks of Gov. Abbott, who vetoed a similar bill during the regular legislative session. Tune in - senate.texas.gov/videoplayer.ph…
📢 Sen. Charles Perry just said the hemp industry is “insidious, deceptive, and nefarious,” and that we’ve “built a market around vulnerable groups” citing “veterans and kids.” These remarks are not only deeply misleading—they are an insult to the thousands of Texans who have…
I miss the old, small government, tea party @electcharles. The guy who hated big government. Oh well.
Parents of disabled children and honorable military veterans who oppose a full ban on hemp products were not informed about the SB5 hearing, which is happening now, until last night. This silenced our voices and prevented us from arguing against a complete ban on products that…
Do it NOW.
🚨 BREAKING: Ron DeSantis advocates for the nationwide abolition of property taxes. "You buy a home, you buy land... and then, you've been taxed many times.. is it your property, or NOT? Just for being on your property, you've got to write a check to the government every year?"
At this point, I’m not sure THC legislation will make it to Abbott’s desk. How can @electcharles and @DanPatrick support what @GregAbbott_TX wants after some of the insane things said today?
This morning I sat down with Gov. @GregAbbott_TX. He laid out what he is for and not for when it comes to a #THC ban in Texas. We also talked about redistricting. You can see that later today on @FOX4 @FOX26Houston @fox7austin and also Sunday on TX The Issue Is. #txlege
Our CEO’s testimony in opposition of SB5 at the Texas Senate today! There are lots of amazing testimonies happening now, with citizens letting our representatives know that Texans want regulation, not prohibition! 🤘🍃 #txlege #texas
All scare tactics
i'm noticing none of the "expert" testimony" includes any statistical data on the horrors they're speaking of
Asked if he foresaw hemp/THC being such a big issue for the 89th #txlege, @GregAbbott_TX said, "I had no idea." More in this interview from @CameronSAbrams: thetexan.news/issues/social-…
So hemp, that doesn’t get you high is more dangerous than meth…
“Law enforcement will tell you that it’s the new meth”. (Speaking on hemp). These people have LOST THEIR MINDS. How can you sit there and LIE like this to Texas? This is sick.
The Texas Senate is now hearing their bill to ban hemp (again), SB5.🤦♂️ Why does the Austin swamp keep trying to turn Texas into a nanny state and ban things Trump protected like hemp and vapes? The government is not your parent! I will continue fighting for liberty. Excerpt…
What makes Texas strong isn’t government micromanagement—it’s families, freedom, and free enterprise. SB 5 threatens all three. By banning legal hemp products and turning small business owners into criminals, lawmakers are pushing prohibition under the false flag of public…
According to facts, he would be wrong
There it is: Senator Perry says cannabis is more dangerous than alcohol.
Funny, I’m no keyboard warrior and I’ll remind him of that when I hit the airwaves at 5pm. I also don’t believe the Governor is a keyboard warrior and he is against a total ban. Sounds like @electcharles is the one who isn’t credible.
Love that Senator Perry called out all the “keyboard warriors” critical of a total hemp ban as not credible.
NEWS: Gov. @GregAbbott_TX tells me he wants to BAN intoxicating consumable THC products in Texas: "The only hemp product that's going to be out there is non-intoxicating hemp, which is below 3 milligrams of THC." Story tk via @impactnews #txlege
Come on folks, do you really think they are going to lock up Obama?
