Nothing stays the same forever. Change is constant, inevitable, and at times painful. But there’s grace available, grace to hold gently what we cannot keep, and to release gratefully what has run its course. Embracing impermanence doesn’t lessen the value of our experiences; it…
"But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).

Jung noticed that what we resist tends to persist. When we deny or suppress our struggles, we unknowingly give them power. But Jesus calls us into a different kind of freedom: not hiding from what troubles us, but bringing it into the light of His truth and mercy. The gospel…
Some of life’s most important questions… Who is truly influencing you? Who is influencing the people who are influencing you? What is upstream from you in the information river that is your drinking source? — Pastor Stephen Simpson

“You are not wiser, greater, or more Holy than the Lord; therefore, don’t be harder on yourself than He is on you. Remember the hymn by Annie Flint: ‘His love has no limit, His grace has no measure.’ If Jesus has forgiven you, it’s time to forgive yourself.” - Stephen Simpson

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).

Endurance doesn’t look like perfection—it looks like getting back up, again and again, trusting that Jesus will meet you in the middle of the mess. You don’t need perfect faith to keep going. You just need the kind of faith that endures. That’s what Resilient Hope is all about.…
Years ago I remember @BethMooreLPM saying that it was going to become increasingly important for American Christians to be able to tell the difference between what is "Christian" and what is Christ like. If ever there was a prophetic word, it was that.
Scripture has been wielded in very antagonistic ways this past week. I encourage public officials and advocates to avoid using scripture as a taunt or jest. Scripture has much to offer this country, but it should be received, not wielded as a weapon or debate tactic.
This seminary in Lviv is lead by Slavik Pyzh, a @SWBTS alum. 700 graduates this year. There is a real spiritual hunger in Ukraine and these men are committed to pastoring and reaching their communities for Christ.
In the early days of Russia’s full onslaught of Ukraine in Feb 2022, Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary transitioned its classrooms into temporary shelters, halting instruction to house internally displaced persons as they fled their homes for safety. baptistpress.com/resource-libra…
Spiritual disciplines aren’t rigid rules; they are sacred rhythms, patterns of grace-filled living that renew and sustain us. To enlarge the metaphor in a way well-familiar in the Pentecostal tradition, the Spirit of Pentecost has taught me to dance with these life-giving…

Spiritual formation is something we human beings can and must undertake—as individuals and in fellowship with other apprentices of Jesus. ##DallasWillard #RenovationOfTheHeart

Our ministry stands in agreement with @BethMooreLPM and her comforting wisdom as we join her and many others in grieving the passing of Jennifer Lyell. Please continue to pray and be willing to take up the Proverbs 31:8-9 calling that Jennifer carried. — Pastor Stephen Simpson
The Lord is Jennifer Lyell’s Shepherd. She shall no longer long to see right made of wrong. She has walked through the valley of the shadow of death. She fears no evil, for he is with her and she, with him. His rod and his staff, they comfort her. He prepares a table before…
All of us at CSM grieve the tragic passing of Jennifer Lyell yesterday. She suffered terrible abuse, defamation, and bullying from people claiming to be “Christians.” Yet she stood faithfully and courageously with others who had suffered similar abuse. religionnews.com/2025/06/08/jen…
