In addition to being the undisputed GOAT for Team USA, Helen Maroulis is a prolific pinner, ending many of her matches by fall. One of Helen’s go-to pin combos is the footsweep to the fall. She’s hit this in Final X, Trials finals and here at the rankings series in Budapest.…
The first time I heard about Takara Suda, I was talking with Masanosuke Ono at the US Open about his plans for the upcoming year. He mentioned that while he may not be wrestling at worlds this year, he expected his replacement to be a world title contender. He also mentioned…
Same here. It's a shame he isn't wrestling internationally this summer.
I see, thanks. I hope he wrestles internationally whatever decision he makes in the NCAA.
Ben.
CP who would you personally have on the quarter century team for 174?
I don't want to admit how much time I spent looking for this 2014 Cael Sanderson tweet that was a reply to a now non-existent Vine (look it up, it used to be real, kids). But I remember it almost as well as this sick Ed Ruth takedown at NCAA's against Ohio State All-American…
There's definitely a learning curve on the mat, but I would say the typical elite HS prospect comes to college much more ready to get off the bottom than kids were even 10-15 years ago.
Getting off of the bottom is always the hardest part for freshman. He’ll figure it out. He has really good guys in the room that can ride. He is definitely in the conversation for a title.
That would be my guess. If it's true Masa has a redshirt + 1 year, it makes sense to have him in your room 2 years instead of 1.
Ono to redshirt or at 141?
A lot of people have been incredibly generous but any celebrities saying they paid it all are lying
There are so many misleading reports about celebrities paying off the whole double lung transplant cost. That is not true AT ALL. If you're able, please consider giving to his recovery fund. 🙏 LTC address: ltc1q38ufmjvugxce8tj87glqkh7pwecs05hdea97lg
It’s precisely it. Also Marcus beat Matt Ramos in a college match as a high school Junior.
Using freestyle as a measure stick isn’t it. Besides the big difference of a bottom/top game, stalling is more prevalent in folkstyle. Hendrickson kept it close with Gable because he was able to shorten the match.
Plain and simple: Marcus Blaze is ready to win an NCAA title year one. If he will do it is another question, but he will be very tough to beat. Here you see Marcus earn a resounding win over the great Brock Hardy, an NCAA Finalist for Nebraska at 141. Blaze projects in the…
The first pick of the 2025 inaugural @CLAW_WRESTLING draft is in…
The moment when Mark Perry, the nephew of John Smith, first thought he may not go to Oklahoma State.
Glory Glory Hallelujah
Did Hamiti just walk out to "I've Been Working On The Railroad"?
The saga of Mark Perry and Johny Hendricks is one of the more incredible and unlikely stories in NCAA history. Perry, the nephew of John Smith, was born and raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Hendricks, who was a year ahead of Mark, was the top recruit and committed to Oklahoma…

Ben Askren went from one of the weakest wrestlers on his college team, to p4p one of the most uniquely strong combat athletes of all time. His strength so pronounced he could crush two watermelons at once with his arms (go try it with one). Coach Smith tells stories of his…
