Identifying surgically significant TBI that needs referral to neurosurgery rather than referring every abnormal CT. In 1144 pts, Liverpool HITS score reduced referrals by 43% with no missed pts.

One of our senior Neurosurgical Registrars has just resigned to do exactly this. Better pay, better work-life balance, working outside of medicine. One less Neurosurgeon. Another huge loss to the NHS.

1/10 @TheBMA and @BMA_Consultants desperately want the NHS to be able to deliver better care for patients. We have NEVER suggested otherwise However after over a decade of government cuts the NHS is in crisis and the staff are burnt out and leaving in their droves.

I had exactly this issue last year. @goldstone_tony tweet 13 helped me sort it. £32000 tax bill reduced to £2000. TRS completely updated. Guess what? Same issue again this year. TRS figure £30K+ more than March payslip. So time consuming sorting it all out.
Hi @hmrcgovuk Can you explain how my NHS pension input amount of £147k has been calculated? It’s nearly doubled the closing value. A bigger surprise being I’ve not paid anything in last year as working abroad?! Will I be returning? @goldstone_tony #nhspension #scandal

I know the world is a bin-fire right now (still) but could someone in govt just ask @goldstone_tony how to sort NHS pensions out and then implement whatever solution he advises.
