📘 NEW REPORT: Market-led green growth We propose a credible, conservative alternative to Labour's energy plan, which will: 🇬🇧 Boost our energy security 💡 Unlock affordable bills 🏭 Ensure industrial rejuvenation More in 🧵 below: cen.uk.com/market-led-gre…

Big infrastructure projects like @TidewayLondon do not come cheap. The @Conservatives made novel financing for Tideway possible. Other projects should be able to do this too. That's why the gov should take on @theresecoffey's amendment to the Planning & Infrastructure Bill 👇
Too many infrastructure projects are held back in this country by external forces. CEN Peer @theresecoffey’s amendment can help. Find out more 👇

CEN RESPONDS TO THE CUNLIFFE REPORT Cleaning up our rivers requires us to move beyond punishing water companies. We need real action that tackles water pollution from source to sea.

Great to see CEN Peer @LordLucasCD submit a clear amendment to boost EV infrastructure. @CEN_HQ has long championed expanding PDR to EV charging – hope the government takes note!
I prefer this proposal. A new PD for cable channels so people without driveways can still charge their cars.
Climate aid is currently poor value for money for British taxpayers It's time to make a change so it makes a real difference for Britain and our allies Read our Deputy Director's article in @prospect_uk 👇
When it comes to climate aid, we need to stop trying to help everybody, everywhere. For @prospect_uk, I wrote about what's wrong with climate finance and why it needs to be more strategic and spent much better.
Last night, the CPF hosted an informative roundtable policy discussion with Sam Hall, Director of the CEN, as part of the Policy Renewal Programme. CPF members with expertise in the agricultural sector offered insightful analysis on a range of environmental issues.
Labour's new electric car grant is a waste of taxpayers' money. It won't help ordinary drivers. We should make it easier to switch to EVs. But that means improving charging infrastructure.

🌍 Labour are failing to protect our oceans From Chagos to failure to sign the High Seas Treaty, we cannot let them sell out our environment. CEN MP @AndrewRosindell writes for @ConHome 👇 conservativehome.com/2025/07/11/and…

🐸 Worth saying that @SWDevonRebecca tabled an amendment in the Commons to end this madness by giving ponds permitted development rights and @theresecoffey has now done the same in the Lords
The environment agency was fine with the left, but is cracking down on a Good Samaritan who transformed it into right. Authorities in England don’t care about their jobs, until someone else does it for them. Same with the Tube cleaning initiative.
🤦♀️This is a ridiculous state of affairs. The government should accept amendments to the Planning & Infrastructure Bill, first put forward by @SWDevonRebecca & now by @theresecoffey, to give ponds permitted development rights. Cut red tape, restore nature. 🐸
“Oi, have you got a licence for that pond?” The Environment Agency have now taken time out of their busy schedule of ignoring environmental crime to pay me a visit & threaten me with prosecution for creating a pond without a permit. It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so…
🦋 If we are serious about reversing biodiversity loss, we must harness the full power of the market to do so. That means creating conditions where private investment can flow into nature recovery - not as an act of charity, but as a rational, profitable enterprise. CEN's…

💡'Labour’s energy policies are making energy prices higher, not lower. To reduce bills, we need a market-led approach instead.' ✍️CEN director Sam Hall in @Daily_Express express.co.uk/comment/expres…

☢️ If we want a British nuclear renaissance, we must streamline red tape. We can't just keep throwing money at the problem. CEN's @SamFPayne in @Politics_co_uk: politics.co.uk/comment/2025/0…

“Britain has pushed off decisions on nuclear for too long... Without nuclear, we will be less energy secure in an increasingly dangerous world”, writes @SamFPayne of @CEN_HQ 🗣️ Labour can’t just throw money at nuclear and hope it works politics.co.uk/comment/2025/0…
