When the government sides with those who break the rules over those who follow them, don’t be surprised when public anger boils over. The Prime Minister’s out-of-touch remarks show exactly why trust is collapsing. 🔵 @JamesCleverly setting it out on @BBCBreakfast 📺
Those acts are already illegal under existing religious hate crime laws. People have *already* been sentenced for those crimes (I will link below.) I asked the Minister leading on this work to send me examples of anti-Muslim hate incidents which were not covered by existing law.…
Protecting believers, not beliefs. For example: bacon pinned to mosque doors, bricks thrown through mosque windows, hijabs being pulled from women’s heads, abuse directed at people because of their religion. All things that have happened to my Muslim constituents.
Police workforce figures just out for March 31st 2025 show Police Officer numbers by headcount *DOWN* by 1,316 - from a record high of 149,768 on 31/03/24 down to 148,452 on 31/03/25. The same trend is evident in FTE (Full Time Equivalent) numbers. Conservatives delivered…
Labour scrapped our deterrents and the result is record small boat arrivals. Small boat crossings are at their worst ever, hotels are reopening, and asylum centres are expanding, all because Labour reversed key measures that were shutting down the smugglers’ business model. 🔵…
Labour's Jobs Tax is destroying our great British pubs. 69,000 jobs have already been lost - and today, Brewdog announced the closure of 10 of their bars. Pubs are the heart of our communities - we need to back them, along with the workers who keep them going. 🍻
Thanks @kemibadenoch for appointing me Shadow Science, Tech & Innovation SoS. We face so many challenges as a country but hope has always been found in scientific and technological innovation. It’s where Brits have excelled for centuries. Access to fantastically talented…
So far, 2025 is the worst year for small boat numbers on record and Labour have no idea what to do. When asked how to house illegal migrants, the Prime Minister casually said there is “lots of housing”. Tell that to the young people priced out of the housing ladder or to…
It’s the nature of business to take risk, fail sometimes and retrench. Not every closure or job loss is government related. But there is a pattern, especially in high street and hospitality, of rising costs, state determined wages and taxes hikes leading to job losses. ⬇️
Economics 101: people respond the incentives (and disincentives). Reeves’ tax raises are bringing in less tax, costing jobs, and dissuading investment. Labour’s economic incompetence is damaging the UK economy.

First thoughts on becoming @Conservatives Party Chairman 👇
Thrilled to be back at CCHQ as Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party. Excited to work with MPs, MSPs. MSs, councillors, activists, and members - alongside @kevinhollinrake - to get Conservative victories and fight this terrible Labour Government. Time to get to work! 💪🇬🇧
Honoured to be appointed as the Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. Our NHS and social care services are vital to millions, and I will work tirelessly to hold the Government to account and stand up for patients, staff, and families across the country 🏥💙
I am honoured to have been appointed Chairman of the Conservative Party. I want to pay tribute to my predecessors, Nigel Huddleston and Lord (Dominic) Johnson, whose dedication and hard work have laid the foundations for the future. Their efforts in navigating challenging times…
Borrowing under Labour has broken a new record and is even higher than the OBR forecasted. Come the Budget, our country will be facing a very real black hole of the Chancellor’s own making. With Labour - it's always the same old story and we all know how it ends👇
Last week Rachel Reeves claimed she’d “put the public finances back on a firm footing, getting debt on a downward path.” In reality, she borrowed over £20 billion in June alone. Labour are trying to gaslight you. Don’t let them.
36 days of silence on the rape gangs inquiry. Today on the final day of parliament until summer recess, the Home Office have provided no update to Parliament about progress on the national inquiry into grooming gangs. The government completely fails to understand how fragile…
Illegal working by illegal immigrants is putting people at risk👉
As he prepares for his last parliamentary oral questions from the front bench, I want to put on record my sincere thanks to Ed Argar for serving in my Shadow Cabinet. I wish him the very best for a speedy recovery and return to full health, and so I will be making a few changes…
Rachel Reeves is maxing out Britain’s credit card— and handing you the bill. £100bn in debt interest already. Growth’s flat. Inflation’s back. And tax hikes are coming. Only the @Conservatives will stop the spending spree and get Britain back on budget.
Public sector net borrowing excluding public sector banks was £20.7 billion in June 2025. This was £6.6 billion more than in June 2024 and the second-highest June borrowing since monthly records began in 1993, behind that of June 2020. Read more ➡️ ons.gov.uk/economy/govern…
Great to be back in Wales for the Royal Welsh Show today. @Conservatives will always back our farmers 🐑🌾🇬🇧
