Some high note for Jack O’Connor to exit on. What an incredible record he has. Kerry need to hold onto Cian O’Neill, which I think they’ll be able to do. Fitzmaurice to come back as Manager with the FRC finishing up soon? Scary prospect for everyone else. #Kerry #allirelandfinal
Jack O’Connor tells RTÉ that he intends to step away as Kerry manager. Going out with a treble is some way to go.
This was definitely helpful as part of the healing process after last Sunday. We have to pick ourselves up and go again. A blessing to have the club action now to throw ourselves into over the next 16 weeks or so. Top class as always from John.👏

BREAKING: Alexander Isak is not in the Newcastle squad travelling to Singapore for the club's pre-season tour 🚨 Local reports in the North East have claimed that the striker is managing a thigh injury 🩺
A bit rich from @SimonHarrisTD who thought that Covid-19 was the 19th version of Covid. Glad he’s having fun playing grown-ups in the Dáil though. #FFG
Simon Harris takes this Pearse Doherty to task over his lack of knowledge about Irish businesses. "You want Paschal Donohoes job, and you don't even know who owns Supervalu, you can't even use google." That's going to hurt.
Some going to sell out the Fanzone at Pairc Uí Chaoimh. Phenomenal stuff. #RebelsAbú

Nail on the head. Nice & succinct piece here on the ‘split season’. As a Cork man, it’s a fantastic time to be blessed to be supporting the Cork hurlers, but equally I can’t bloody wait for the start of the club hurling championships. It’s cyclical & it’s brilliant. #Hurling #GAA

It’s pretty apparent how this clown was an absolute disastrous Minister for Housing when he’s celebrating the installation of a single water fountain at a train station as if he’s just opened up the Empire State Building. #FFG
The first Water Refill Station is now live at Malahide DART Station! This is a brilliant initiative to reduce plastic waste and provide clean, fresh water to commuters across the country🚰🚆@deptcee @Dept_Transport
Steven Gerrard managed to do a lot of damage in the short time he had at the club. Villa going “all in” on him & buying players “for the here & now” completely went against their policy of finding value & they’ve paid since, being hamstrung by some of those high wages. #AVFC #UTV
🚨 NEW: Aston Villa have committed to bringing down their player costs by almost 20% over this summer & next. @TeleFootball #avfc
Goals are so irrelevant in Gaelic football now, Armagh goal wiped out within a minute by a point and a two-pointer. Seánie O’Se some footballer to be fair. #Armagh #Kerry
This is very good to be fair from @EoinSheahan …a good mix of interesting stories & absolute carnage, with plenty misery along the way… “I have officially become the Enoch Burke of Argentinian petrol stations” has to be my personal favourite quote. podcasts.apple.com/ie/podcast/div…
To all those people who are very annoyed #Glastonbury is on. Don't come. Don't look at anything on social media about it. Don't watch anything with it in. Don't listen. Chill out. Have a beer. Watch the clouds. You don't have to tell everyone how angry you are. Love, Michael.
Some achievement by the Dublin hurlers & Niall Ó Ceallacháin in his first year, all the more remarkable by the fact that he was still busy with Na Fianna winning an All Ireland club on 19th January last…& had a newborn baby at the time. Incredible stuff.👏 #Dublin #GAA #Hurling
Up the Dubs!!!! #Hurling Note: This Tweet expires at 6:15pm. #Football
Great to see, hopefully he can do a good job there. Lots of good Irish coaches out there at the moment. Unbelievable to have the Big Two in Wales managed by a Corkman and an Athlone man.

“I LIKE THE SPLIT SEASON.” That’s the quote lads @IndoSport Fair play to Bennett, no whinging or moaning there. Incredible commitment to perform the way he does with so many challenges. Proper Warrior. #Hurling #GAA

Jarlath Burns’ legacy won’t be his football enhancements but his killing off of the club game if he goes ahead with this plan. It’s not being dramatic. August finals, plus replays, would push club championships well into Sept. Absolute joke if this goes ahead. #GAA
Men’s All-Ireland finals could be in August from 2027, says Jarlath Burns irishtimes.com/sport/gaelic-g…
Two articles came out today with views on the split season. One of them was informed by reality. This is a great read from @CahairOKane1 👇 Tackles the nonsense around the 'lack of promotion' and again shows that participation is our greatest means of growing our games.
Column: “We don’t start club championship until September, why can’t we have All-Irelands in August?” So much of the split season debate is myopic and takes no cognisance of the wider picture. The split season is the right solution. It’s the only one ⬇️ irishnews.com/gaa/gaelic-foo…
