My thoughts on who will win Sunday’s All-Ireland football final between Donegal and Kerry and why it almost entirely comes down to David Clifford, Seanie O’Shea and the numbers 15 and 23. Column ⬇️ irishnews.com/gaa/gaelic-foo…
Big coup for McKeever Sports to sign “a multi year deal” with Slaughtneil. Definite shift in the GAA’s sportswear market over the last few years. Ultimately that competition will be a good thing for everyone. Just praying the hoops on the hurling jersey aren’t around the back 👓

Beware of this profile trying to sell All-Ireland final tickets, it looks very legit but there are serious red flags 🚩

There'll be criticism for Cork, some of it will be justified, but this has been all about Tipperary. Their setup from the start starved Cork's attack of oxygen. Kept themselves in the game and then went and won it. Cork were poor but so much of it was Tipp making them poor
Tipp were the better team for most of the first half as well. The second half has only brought about its reflection on the scoreboard. Cork came to be direct, Tipp have cut off that ball, taken away the goal threat. It's cut Cork off at the knees
The square ball is clear to me. Player can't be in the square before the ball. Not humanly possible for Jason Forde to have crossed the line out wide and reached the ball where he did in the milliseconds he'd have had legally. Coming in straight, maybe. From the side, no chance
A goal would have been great for the game but that's a really good call from the referee, clear square ball
This has been a great first 11 minutes from Tipperary in everything except their shooting
A lovely way to sign off on 26 years at the top. Brendy will be a big loss to our sports department and the readers.
A letter to all those who helped me over the years & who gave me a break when I needed it. Thank you. Brendan Crossan: ‘The beginning and end of my ‘why’ was making my parents proud. It was always that simple’ – The Irish News irishnews.com/gaa/gaelic-foo…
Kildare GAA go full Louth and confirm that Brendan Cawley will referee this year's All-Ireland football final. He's been alongside Sean Hurson as the best referee in the country the last couple of years. His style should contribute a lot to the game in two weeks' time
On behalf of Kildare GAA, we would like to congratulate Brendan Cawley on his appointment to referee the 2025 All-Ireland Football Final. Anyone who knows Brendan, or has worked alongside him, will agree that this moment was always a matter of when, not if. His dedication,…
The plentiful scriptures of 2014 are rich and revealing as to the pain Donegal felt and still do. It was an All-Ireland as good as any Kerry have ever won, because they had to think outside the box. Column irishnews.com/gaa/gaelic-foo…
