Here's my thoughts on prohibitions: prohibitions don't work. Prohibition of alcohol? Didn't work out well. Prohibition of drugs? Didn't work out well. Prohibition of sex work? Didn't work out well. Prohibition of immigrants? You get the idea.

Great Moments in Central Planning
I’m sitting here imagining the outrage if Biden had orchestrated a prisoner swap to free an American convicted killer. Every conservative show & podcast would be consumed with it for weeks. Pundits would call it part of his plot to abolish law & order. It would be everywhere.
We are governed by idiots.
To recap, Rubio kidnapped hundreds of Venezuelans, many of them without a criminal record, and swapped them for 10 Americans incarcerated in Venezuela, including a man convicted of three homicides in Madrid.

Usually when I see someone saying something awful is capitalism they are describing something that 1) is genuinely awful 2) is a consequence of material scarcity and 3) has gotten much much less bad under capitalism
"While the world fixates on Donald Trump’s populist cocktail of reciprocal tariffs and big, beautiful deficits, @JMilei is delivering a man-made miracle that should gladden the heart of every classical economist and quicken the pulse of all political libertarians." 1/5

Back in 1987, I interviewed #OzzyOsbourne for the heavy metal mag 'Metallix: It'll Rock You To Shreds!' while he was promoting Randy Rhoads Tribute. I was stunned by what a nice and affable person he was and he talked about how much he loved @PaulMcCartney and the Beatles, among…
