It was such an honor to have the opportunity to testify before the House Ag Committee today about California’s Prop 12. It was really an unbelievable experience, and I am so grateful for the invitation and everyone who helped me prepare.
Los Angeles used to be the equivalent of Saudi Arabia, producing 30% of the world’s oil! To this day L.A. still produces 100,000 barrels of oil per day, making it the largest urban oil field in the world. Let’s get into it!

Also, this is an excuse for me to rant about the practice of unsigned student notes. In 2025 AD this serves NO purpose. The student's name should be on here so they get the recognition they deserve! Why hide it? "Tradition"? That tradition doesn't even survive rational basis.
Student note highlighted on the Legal History Blog. It's an excellent piece on how the rational basis test was at least kind of a real test between Carolene Products (1938) & Lee Optical (1955). Focuses on @ConLawWarrior's late client Sandy Meadows.
