Good Luck to the Central Scarlet Dragons Boys Basketball Team in tonight’s PIAA DISTRICT 6 Class AAAA Championship Game. Bring home the gold boys!
Statewide media isn’t giving our local D6 Football teams much hope in winning this round. 1A Bishop Guilfoyle, 2A Cambria Heights, 3A Penn Cambria, 4A Juniata , 5A Hollidaysburg & 6A State College. I think we might see some surprising games from our teams. Don’t count them out.
12-6-1997 Mansion Park Stadium Altoona PIAA 4A Championship Game . Central Bucks West defeats Upper St Claire 44-20 claiming their first of 3 straight PIAA Titles. The final Championship Game in Altoona home to the Championships from 1993-97. In 1998 the Games moved to Hershey

Somewhere I have old VHS recordings of a weekly sports show that aired on Altoona Public Access Channel. I can’t think of the name of it but I believe Jim Gregory and @NeilRudel were the hosts. A hot topics back in the day was the PIAA Championships leaving Mansion Park in 1998
