Christian Veilleux exited spring practice as QB1 and will enter fall camp as the starter. Dell McGee: "I won't say we won't play two QBs - we'll utilize the talents of our players to win football games." He highlighted the dual threat abilities of Cameran Brown and PJ Hatter.

McGee talking about high school recruiting being where his team "cuts its teeth": "Development is a little bit different, but we do believe fostering those relationships, those retention rates will increase and that will help the continuity of the program."

Henry Bryant more of a leader by example than a vocal leader, says Dell McGee, but he's taken young defensive linemen under his wings on the side and helped them learn the college game. Bryant says the goal of the defense is "Win, dominate, minimize mistakes."

The theme of "Finish" is printed on the shirts the team works out in and the walls in the facility after 4 one-score losses last season. McGee mentions the mix of portal additions and 34 high schoolers brought in - the latter of whom bring "enthusiasm".

Dell McGee starts with a thanks to the media - "We appreciate the exposure - the good, bad and ugly of it." Thanks President Brian Blake and AD Charlie Cobb, as well as Sun Belt Commissioner Keith Gill for the "unified vision" he has for the conference.

Coach Desormeaux's full answer on Coach Ross:

I asked Michael Desormeaux about Georgia State's new O-line coach Bryant Ross, who spent 2018-2020 and 2022-2024 at Louisiana: "Getting to run his own room is something he's ready for and Georgia State is lucky to have him. He's a heck of a football coach."
