This morning, @mayorbmscott and #teamMONSE joined @BaltimorePolice, @oagmaryland, @baltimoresao, @yapinc, and @rocainc to announce expansion of the City’s Group Violence Reduction Strategy (GVRS) into BPD’s Southern District.

Yesterday, BPD hosted more than 20 youth for a strategic session w/ the Yothworks Program to provide input & help shape BPD’s new Youth Advisory Board. We’re dedicated to amplifying youth voices in shaping policies & creating opportunities for Baltimore’s youth. #YouthEngagement

Another successful #BadgestoBaseball event is in the books! ⚾ Our officers had a great time teaming up with the @CalRipkenSrFdn in stepping up to the plate & connecting with our young people through teamwork, friendly competition and fun. #CommunityPolicing

Foxtrot Landing & Water Rescue On July 26th, officers received a water rescue call at a pool. Foxtrot was patrolling in the area & landed. Flight Officer Smith exited the helicopter & immediately began CPR on the 25 y/o male, who was revived. Read more: facebook.com/share/p/16D8YP…

End of Watch July 26, 1972: Police Officer Lorenzo A. Gray was shot & killed as he & his partner entered a hotel in the 2600 blk of Pulaski Highway to investigate a report of a holdup. Officer Gray was a veteran who served with BPD for three year. We will never forget. #EOW
