This has been a fit for years.
Breaking: The Yankees are acquiring 3B Ryan McMahon from the Rockies, per source. Colorado will receive two prospects in return.
I get fired up seeing trade tweets!!
The New York Mets have acquired left-handed reliever Gregory Soto from the Baltimore Orioles, sources confirm to ESPN. First on the deal was @martinonyc.
Really wanted to see Grissom get a shot. I liked the bat last year in September and he’s hitting well in Triple-A. I just don’t have a lot of confidence in Hamilton.
Alex Speier (@alexspeier) has confirmed it’s David Hamilton back up to replace Marcelo Mayer (wrist injury).
Dodgers coming to town. Ohtani, Betts, Freeman. Bello on the mound in the green city connects. Beyond stoked for Friday Night Fenway!!🍿

Well the “it’s too early for a trade“ comment can’t be used. No reason Boston doesn’t find a backup catcher now.
Damn. Naylor would have been a great add for the Sox.
The Mariners’ No. 13 and No. 16 prospects. Garcia has pitched a few games out of the bullpen in the big leagues this year. A comparable package from the Red Sox would be something like David Sandlin and Juan Valera.
I will remain a believer in Campbell. But I do remember reading that scouts can’t really compare Campbell’s swing to anyone with real big league success. That hasn’t left my mind.
Kristian Campbell solo shot. His second homer in Triple-A this season.
I know a lot of fans are frustrated with the streakiness of the Sox but look around the league. The majority of the teams are just as streaky.
Can’t wait for next Thursday. Love the Trade Deadline as a baseball fan.
Have to wonder when the Guardians will consider moving Kwan. He is a free agent in 2028. His peak value is either this Trade Deadline or the offseason.
Steven Kwan has multiple homers today for the very first time in his career!
One week to the deadline. Some Red Sox thoughts. ballparkbuzz.substack.com/p/where-the-re…

Hey @NjTank99 did you happen to see who had the game winning hit in the Phillies and Red Sox game last night?
The Boston bullpen has the 4th best fWAR in the sport (4.4). The group also has the 5th best ERA. Have to give credit to Breslow for quickly changing the group. The Boston pen was never loaded with power arms and now it’s full of them.

After facing 2 of the NL’s top teams, the Red Sox still are in possession of the final Wild Card spot.

Finally an extra inning road win!!!! Get the hell out of Philly. Go win at Fenway. #DirtyWater

Well if you wanted to see Alcala in high leverage, here you go. Thank goodness they have a 2-run cushion.
That just cannot happen. No reason to run into an out. I doubt 1 is enough either Turner, Schwarber, and Harper up.
