Why aren't you helping those already trapped in defective new build homes? Those waiting for cladding remediation? Or do they developers say ooh if we do that we can't build all the new homes promised? At least be honest about it.
After a balcony fire on a neighbouring building last week our Managing Agent decided to ban everything from balconies! Another ill thought out knee jerk reaction, from one extreme where anything goes to this. Should be a measured approach, education & enforcement with residents

I watched my thirties vanish, and I am now watching my early forties vanish, trying to claim against a structural warranty policy. The warranty provider is threatening us with ~£200k in legal fees because we dared to claim against our policy. Our MP Keir Starmer is AWOL.

“Why can’t you give us control” We can pay the mortgage, the fraudulent service charges and muddle through in defective homes… But heaven forbid we have to look into obtaining buildings insurance & gardening services. We don’t want more regulation, we want leasehold…

We're a week away from the 8th anniversary of learning we have ACM cladding on our building, Alex. It's class 3 ACM cladding with a PE core - same as Grenfell's. Still no FRAEW, scope of works or remediation plan. How about focusing on the job you were appointed to do?

There have been no highlights at all for those trapped in dangerous homes for over 8 years now! We are currently stuck at 18 weeks for Gateway 2 approval & have been told it will take approx 1 year @UKLabour @H_S_E holding things up now @LucyMPowell @McrCladiators @EOCS_Official

It’s a bad situation when a regulatory decision making gateway is slowing down building safety improvement. There are no doubt issues on both sides in every case but the process/legislation does need to be urgently reviewed @mhclg
Yesterday, we walked with @GrenfellUnited to remember the 72 people who died. We will remember them today and every day. The tower is to be demolished. But the fight for justice will continue. Forever in our hearts 💚💛
