This is a great development. Internet pornography is vile and its negative effects much underrated. For years I've been told by politicians regulating it is practically impossible – now we find it's actually not that difficult.
Well done to everyone who campaigned to ensure age verification for pornography was in the Online Safety Act! Today it comes into force and while no doubt there will be some who get around it, it means young kids in particular won’t be stumbling on violent and harmful porn.
First @EduardHabsburg, now @holland_tom replied to me too. Aspirations fulfilled.
The one on the right
I remember, when I was maybe 14 or 15, thinking that the only celebrity death I could possibly be sad about was if Ozzy died. What an incredible musical legacy and loss, one of the great cultural icons of the last 70 years.

Lots of people saying that giving the vote to 16-year-olds is a gift for Reform, but (at least for now) support for Reform among them is lower than the national average.

Reminds me of when Michael I of Romania refused in 1992 the offer to run for President.
🚨NEW: 50% of 16 to 17-year-old's say they shouldn't be able to vote
Fascinating snippet from @MrRBourne's latest in The Times. (1/5)
Instead of giving votes to children, give extra votes to their parents.
Very good from @yuanyi_z, and echoing some of what I have been saying in articles and in the most recent Bright Blue report. The antidote to the left's concerns about nationalism is not self-hatred, but a nationalism rooted in shared loves.
Integration isn’t about ethnicity — it’s about shared allegiance. The Tebbit Test was a blunt reminder of that fact, writes @yuanyi_z 👇 buff.ly/EwjaLAt
NEW OBR fiscal risks report: - Triple lock is costing treble what it was initially assumed to cost when introduced in 2012… - £15.5bn a year rather than £5bn a year and is - State Pension on course to cost 7.5% of the UK’s entire GDP within 50 years, was 2% in 50s, now 5%
Why is working from home a part of the culture wars now? It's trad. If I were a miller living in 15th century Bohemia I'd be working from home too.
No more working from home. No more waste. No more hotel stays for illegal immigrants. Reform means value, not vanity, and action, not excuses. Let’s get it done. 🧹🇬🇧 #Boam4Britain
