On our Durlston transect today (Swanage) this Large Skipper and Clouded Silver moth. We counted 150 butterflies of 9 species despite a windy day, although quite sheltered in parts of the coast path and meadows. @savebutterflies @DorsetWildlife @SightingDOR @GreenDorset @BC_Dorset
They had a very good year in Dorset last year .Hundreds were counted on HH and unbelievable numbers on Studland. I read somewhere that the very wet winter may have suited them .🤔
