While Sean Orr, a rookie Councillor, criticizes Task Force Barrage, VPD officers arrest a violent zone 43 gang member in the DTES and return him to police in Ontario👇 Why wouldn’t Orr want violent criminals off #Vancouver streets? #VanPoli
#VPDNews: A Zone 43 gang member who was wanted Canada-wide for drug and firearms offences has been arrested by #VPD’s #TaskForceBarrage and sent back to Ontario. Christopher Cineus, 31, was convicted in Ontario on 10 different charges following an investigation by the Ottawa…
The BCPA congratulates Prime Minister @MarkJCarney. We welcome your commitments to public safety, sentencing reform, bail reform, & frontline support. We will continue working with all levels of government to ensure these priorities are achieved to help create safer communities.
A visitor to Vancouver was brutally attacked by a man only hours after he was released on bail for assaulting police and uttering threats. @Dave_Eby - is this the kind of welcome visitors to FIFA will have to look forward to? BTW, this violent man is out on bail AGAIN!…
And unfortunately, this continues to be a major concern for all those in public safety. B.C. Court of Appeal tosses ICBC appeal of $15,000 per person for privacy breach ctvnews.ca/vancouver/arti…

You can’t make this stuff up. Blatant disregard for the law and our court system. Imagine, you’re in Supreme Court, and later convicted for drug trafficking, and you go out & sell drugs during Court recess times. Well, it happened. Great job @vicpdcanada Strike Force.
In April 2024, VicPD’s Strike Force unit observed two men engaging in suspected drug trafficking throughout the Greater Victoria area during breaks from a Supreme Court case - including after being found guilty, but before sentencing - where they were accused of previous drug…
Deep sense of relief at today’s verdict. I sincerely hope this brings even a small measure of closure to Greg Pierzchala’s family, friends, and @OPPAssociation colleagues. His loss continues to weigh heavily on all of us across the country. #HeroesInLife #TheyAreOurHeroes

👏
With recent attacks & death threats on police, I asked the Premier to commit to the 7 safety & wellbeing priorities of the BC Police Association, & to stop funding anti-police groups. The NDP made it clear - they won't. We need a government that has the back's of law…
“There are no good cops” “They are not people” Listen👇to Sean Orr spread more hate beyond his antisemitic + misogynistic comments. He’s deleted many of his posts, but won’t say why… Why would this City Councillor try to hide his comments from the people? #VanPoli #BCPoli

If he stands by his tweets, then why did he delete them? 🤷♀️ #VanPoli #BCPoli
The other Tweets 👇🏼 are general/zeitgeist commentary that are insulting and nothing more. You are (purposefully misleadingly) claiming he is calling for the death of police by misrepresentation of a band name. THAT is the key issue here, regardless of your misdirection of intent.
We remember Cst. Heidi Stevenson, who was killed while heroically attempting to stop the gunman in the mass casualty in Nova Scotia, five years ago today, on April 19, 2020. #RCMPNeverForget
Happy Easter from the BCPA! A special thank-you to all the police officers across British Columbia who are working this weekend and spending time away from their families so that others can safely enjoy theirs.

Only a day after VPD issued a warning, a violent man with a history of multiple sexual assaults has gone awol from his halfway house. Clearly, his sentence of just over 2 years for multiple acts of violence didn’t serve as any deterrence to his pattern of criminal behaviour.…
Always great to work collaboratively w/ government on issues that impact both police & the public. These conversations aren’t always easy, but they’re necessary & they lead to better outcomes for everyone. Special thanks to @terryyungyvr @adriandix @NdpJoan for their dedication!

BCPA members from across British Columbia were honoured to engage with government leaders to advocate for change that supports both our members and the public they serve. Thank you once again—we look forward to returning next year! @terryyungyvr @GarryBeggBC @StamatakisCPA
