$2 million of illegal drugs and cash seized, violent crime driven down to historic lows, hundreds of arrests of violent predators, over 1100 weapons seized all due to Taskforce Barrage. Yet the spin is that it’s “controversial” not successful.

Vancouver has become the first city in Canada to ban gun shaped lighters. These lighters have been a source of public distress and erroneous 911 calls, resulting in numerous dangerous encounters for police. This step will save taxpayers money and make Vancouver a safer city.
Today, City Council approved a ban on the sale of gun-shaped lighters, making Vancouver the 1st city in Canada to do so. Facts: ➡️162 incidents in 2024 alone prompted action. ➡️$1,000 fine for businesses selling them. 🔗 Learn more: bit.ly/3GFOLeJ #PublicSafety

Irony in BC Politics👇 David Eby and his NDP government had no issue funding DULF to buy drugs off the dark web and hand out heroin + cocaine in the DTES, but they refused to restore funding this little girl’s treatment until the public pushed back. Let that sink in. #BCPoli
