Excellent breakdown of how water is implemented in Source 2.
Decided to check out how water is rendered in Counter-Strike 2 Given how interactive water in CS2 is, I expected to see some cell fluid simulation, but turns out they use just a low-res off-screen buffer with flat 2D decals for various water effects. Reminds me of HL2 water :)

- A Faraway Land - Made in Hammer and rendered using S2FM. I wanted to explore a fantasy/medieval-like setting in the Source 2 engine for a while now. It's also been a breath of fresh air to work inside Hammer after a while !

So many ideas to create, so many concepts to learn, textures to paint, nodes to connect, tutorials to see, renders to do... but such a short life😔😔

Quick breakdown of my latest environmental render. I used Scythe from @kronok for all the Geo in the scene, and I can't recommend it enough, It brings Source 2 Hammer like editor to the UE and it's fantastic !

It's be an absolute blast to work on the iconic Ravenholm for Project Borealis. I got to work on everything from environments, to lighting and fx. This has been a huge team effort, and I congratulate the entire team on this big milestone.
