Early UK airliners. Bringing the elevations to life, which gives a better feel for the overall sizes.
A few more planes to get a more reasonable format and a bit of chronological sorting and the poster will be finished!
Size comparison between airliners of the early 1930's plus the slightly later Scylla - chosen by Imperial to increase their fleet because of the high quotation for additional HP.42's. Short Scylla, Breguet 280T, HP.42, LeO 213 and Armstrong Whitworth Argosy.

Short L.17 Scylla - IMPERIAL underside badging Finally found an inverted view of SYRINX when it was lifted by wind gusts whilst taxying at Brussels, 10th October 1935 This confirms that the underside only displayed IMPERIAL - without AIRWAYS. Detail from GETTY image.

Short L.17 Scylla The Imperial markings have been added to the underside of 'SYRINX'. IMPERIAL lettering is seen in photographs - R aligns just behind the wheel struts. AIRWAYS is not shown in any photos but fits because the displayed lettering is quite narrow.

Short L.17 Scylla G-ACJK 'SYRINX' This is the other Short L.17 used by Imperial Airways. The 'Imperial Airways London' sign only appears to be on this aircraft and not on 'SCYLLA'. The Imperial sign on the underside has yet to be added, though this is not found on all photos.
