What an amazing day, with 4 events all across the borough! Starting strong with the 50th anniversary of Jacksons Lane. I was very happy to witness the amazing performances in the circus parade. Fantastic to also see the new plaque for the late but legendary Nicky Gavron.

A fantastic day where I: ⚪️ Attended the Armed Forces Day flag raising service at City Hall ⚪️ Attended an event at Sophia House, meeting many of our Windrush elders ⚪️ Attended the Annual Dance Giants show, performed by the very talented students in Haringey

Amazing afternoon catching up with some of our elders from the Windrush generation ❤️

It was an honour to open the exhibition at the Bruce Castle Museum and Archive which celebrates the life, work and achievements of Joyce Butler. A pioneering figure in British politics and a tireless advocate for social justice, she is remembered as 'The National Woman's MP.'
Yesterday I attended the Srebrenica service to commemorate the genocide that took place, right here in Europe. This year, we mark the 30th anniversary of the massacre and pray for the innocent lives that were lost. #RememberSrebrenica
