We have a gorgeous DDS campus that had housing, indoor pool, recreation and more. All closed down. Could be used for respite let alone residential. DDS sold it to the town. It sits empty.

Look, if your kid has autism, I get why you want to blame anything but bad luck (or your own genes, oopsie, I said it out loud). But the rest of us have to make data-based decisions, and that can't include tossing massive studies because you don't like what they found.

Yes, genes are the prime driver of autism - and almost all severe mental illness. Long before GWAS or Watson and Crick and DNA or Mendel and his peas, everyone knew this. Some families were cursed. Once again we're pretending we don't know what we do, because the truth hurts.
