Great last weekend on Texel for the @TexelBigDay and #waddenvogelfestival - great energy, many friends and good birds. Plus EUR 37,500 raised for bird conservation. Took a few early morning and late evening breaks for Sandwich Tern at the Wagejot colony with stunning light

Spend a morning last week in the photohides of gruttoland.nl - which had me many (many) images of fighting and otherwise interaction pied avocets.

New milestone! We have now images of 8,000 species of birds online! A few recent images attached: Green peafowl, ivory-breasted pitta, grey peacock-pheasant and tufted puffin. All stunners.
