Industry right now waiting to go on a hiring spree.
Turnover is routine in Washington, but there's been a flood of health worker departures under the Trump administration. STAT is keeping track of all the senior FDA officials who have left the agency.

Wow. Bullish on AI for clinical reasoning but nejm cases are not real world :) furthest thing from it highly curated, highly packaged none of my patients come with pithy blurbs distilling hours of conversations & chart reviews into pertinent positives and negatives
Excited to share two advances that bring us closer to real-world impact in healthcare AI: SDBench introduces a new benchmark that transforms 304 NEJM cases into interactive diagnostic simulations. AI must ask questions, order tests, and weigh costs, mirroring the complexity of…

Heading now for bloodwork - & PET SCAN - it is a time filled with loads of ANXIETY. Just ask cancer patients - as most of us are a nervous wreck waiting for the results from a scan that is so important . Yes I worry just like many cancer patients .🙏🙏🙏 for good results .
Its been a while since I took anatomy but...where exactly is the "proximal tendon of the anterior rectum"?
🚨 Ferland Mendy’s season is over due to injury, same as Eduardo Camavinga. ⚠️ Mendy has suffered a rupture of the proximal tendon of the anterior rectum in the right quadriceps and he will return for new season 2025/26.
On April 8, @AdeAdamson delivered a talk at the National Academy of Medicine Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine Forum, where he had the opportunity to discuss the role of AI in cancer screening. @theNAMedicine
I'm assuming by she is referring to cutaneous SCC here and if so this is a pretty outlandish claim that can't possibly be true. Also, I'm glad that the overwhelming evidence suggesting melanoma overdiagnosis is now just "hype"...lol.

Not the AAD promoting this nonsense based on a garbage study. The rationale for this product is basically this: a tropical fern plant produces a chemical that protects it from the sun...so if you just eat extracts from the plant it will act like sunscreen. #magicalthinking

Does that actually make patients better off though? 🤔

#AI for #cancer #screening are proliferating. But does it align with what #PCPs find useful? We explore in our new @HAClab_ paper in @socmdm @MedDecMak Policy & Practice led by Vinny Ahluwalia w/ @marilyn_schap @garyweissman -->
Lucky to have @mpignone88 as a mentor! Great spending some time catching up and celebrating great work we are doing with @AmericanCancer

New RCT showing 3D total body photography + usual care vs usual care leads to MORE benign biopsies and LESS melanomas diagnosed (although not statistically significant). Surprise the point estimate was even in the "less" direction 🤯 Wrote an editorial: jamanetwork.com/journals/jamad…
RCT: Adding 3D total-body photography and sequential digital dermoscopy imaging to usual care for high-risk melanoma patients increased the number of skin excisions and biopsies. ja.ma/4j70tfW

Black people with melanoma are 5x more likely to die within 5 years due to late diagnosis. #DellMed's @AdeAdamson has advice for people with darker skin: If you see anything growing, changing or bleeding, see a dermatologist ASAP. bit.ly/3FcuyvR
