I don’t know if there’s ever been a political institution that has been allowed to fail as consistently, with as catastrophic consequences, while facing as little professional or personal accountability, as the leadership and establishment of the modern Democratic Party.
If you are in even the tiniest position of power to do anything about this and you try, you’ll never regret it even if it costs you personally and professionally. If you don’t you will live with the shame the rest of your life. This is one of those moments.
