On July 4, 1995, AZDPS Sgt. Michael Crowe #2729 and Yuma PD Lt. Danny Elkins were fatally shot while interrupting a burglary at the Southwest Border Alliance. The suspect—Yuma Co. Deputy Jack Hudson—was convicted of double murder. #NeverForget #AZTroopers #LODD

On July 3, 1992, Sgt. David Zesiger #1848 was killed when his patrol vehicle was hit head-on by a drunk driver. The driver was sentenced to 4 years in federal prison. Sgt. Zesiger served with AZDPS for 16 years. #NeverForget #AZTroopers #LODD
