Congratulations Scyld. Overall records of most Tests watched/covered are a bit patchy - the subject was once covered in an article in Wisden, but that's decades out of date now - and records by country are non-existent, so any attempt to check this claim involves a certain amount…
Today I think I have become the first person to cover or watch live 500 England cricket Tests. If anybody got there before me please say

@cricket_s_trust ran a superb event on 17.7 at @KimboltonSchool hosting the @TheRootAcademy annual state school finals. Great credit to all the schools who participated & performed so well. The U15 Final was won by @BishopStopford1 whose players were of a v high standard.
The best match bowling figures by a South African captain in Tests belong to a one-eyed Norwegian. And no, we are not joking!
Drop in a cricket stat that's shocking 👇
Thanks for promoting this book @RicFinlay! I bought it for my cricket loving daughter and it arrived yesterday.
My pleasure! We hope she continues to subscribe as we continue to make it bigger and better!
Lowest percentage of fourth innings target achieved: 8.89% (all out 66/target 742) Aus vs Eng 1928 9.40% (30/319) SA vs Eng 1896 12.77% (72/564) Pak vs Aus 2004 13.24% (27/204) WI vs Aus 2025 14.23% (35/246) SA vs Eng 1899 15.22% (58/381) Aus vs Eng 1936
Across both teams' second innings, they lost 11 wickets for 27, 12 for 32, 13 for 43 and 14 for 49. SA's 47 and 43 Cape Town 1889 undercut three of those marks for multi-innings collapses: they lost 11 for 26, 13 for 36 and 14 for 48. However, 12 for 32 appears to be a record.
The 6 which WI's top six batters scored between them is the lowest for an innings in which all six were dismissed - breaking a record which has stood since 1888, when Australia's top six managed a combined total of 12 (2, 0, 3, 1, 6, 0).
