Disrupting the mainstream narrative on perimenopause and menopause. Helping women reach natural symptom relief by tapping into the brilliance of the body.❤️
MAHA, Menopause and HRT. An open letter to @DrMakaryFDA, who seems to believe that women need pharmaceutical interventions to stay healthy during and post menopause. Dr Makary, is there a bug in the design of WOMAN? thewiserwoman.com/post/maha-meno…
Giving pregnant women SSRIs creates a sales funnel for pediatric treatments. An absolute disgrace that women are rarely informed of the dangers. And a tragedy that all women aren't taught about the sensitivity of times of hormonal change -- a sensitivity designed to help…
This syndrome occur in a third of newborns of mothers who have taken SSRIs or SNRIs pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34336063/
Menopause doctors who “manage” their own and other women’s symptoms, specialize in keeping women medicated. What happened to the art of healing? The practice of menopause medicine is a slippery slope to slavery. Women’s well-being is becoming ever more tied to pharmaceutical…
If it looks like a pharma business plan... The embarrassing @US_FDA panel on menopause and HRT led by @DrMakaryFDA.
Glad to see the conflict of interest era in medical regulation is over. nytimes.com/2025/07/17/hea…
I do not have enough knowledge on this particular subject, but your perspective seems to align better with nature. To claim that all otherwise healthy women need hormone replacement therapy after menopause sounds extreme, to say the least.
Sums up the embarrassing @US_FDA panel on menopause and HRT, and the absurd position that @DrMakaryFDA is taking on this issue. Every single panel member relied on data taken from research of estrogen-only therapy. This type of therapy is given to women who had a pre-existing…
Marty Makary’s myopic menopause panel. Carefully chosen. In lockstep agreement. Deepening concerns about FDA. garyschwitzer.substack.com/p/marty-markar…
Even if a whole panel of Drs got together at the @US_FDA and told women "take HRT or be doomed" you still shouldn't believe them. For women in natural menopause, there is no evidence that combined HRT offers disease prevention benefits over the long-term.

Women are more at risk of their regular human emotions becoming a medical diagnosis, especially during the sensitive times of pregnancy, postpartum and the menopause transition.
Clips from today's FDA panel discussion on SSRI's for pregnant women. We are fundamentally misleading people about the nature of depression. I asked for transparency. Honesty. We have medicalized all aspects of the human experience to push drugs & the consequences have been…
To all the menopausal women who are trying to insult me but end up promoting my book, great work!! Keep on!! 😍
@DrMakaryFDA is misrepresenting the data on supposed long-term health benefits from HRT. All the research that he referenced (and that was mentioned in the pharma-inspired @US_FDA panel on menopause) is based on studies carried out on women who had a pre-existing condition that…
🌺How did I heal my perimenopause symptoms simply and naturally? 🌺Why is the focus on fixing hormones misguided? 🌺What does the science actually say about HRT and disease prevention? I answer these questions and more in episode 99 of The Healing Grove Podcast. 👇🏽

Unfortunately, the head of the FDA is sharing myths about HRT and disease prevention. In his book, Blind Spots, @DrMakaryFDA referenced numerous studies to back his position that "HRT offers long-term health benefits." The studies he referenced with regards to heart, brain…
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has long been an important treatment option for women to alleviate symptoms of menopause, among other potential health benefits. Over the last two decades, however, HRT has been surrounded by confusing narratives about potential risks. We're…
Why have messages of fear saturated discussions on menopause? On a recent live event that I ran online with dozens of holistically-minded women journeying through the menopause transition, one theme ran through audience: Fear had convinced many to medicate their menopause and…

The FDA is holding an expert panel on Menopause and Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women. Are we going to hear the truth about how HRT research has been manipulated to make treatments appear more beneficial than science has shown them to be?
In the spirit of transparency and gold-standard science, could you discuss how research on HRT is frequently misrepresented? In particular, including in @DrMakaryFDA's book, Blind Spots, data from research on women who had a pre-existing condition that led to a hysterectomy…
Healing symptoms during the menopause transition doesn’t have to be complicated. I recently spoke to a woman who through engaging with my work, has witnessed the disappearance her anxiety, heart palpitations, insomnia and rapid changes in body temperature. She’s still in the…

What makes psychiatry so different from the rest of medicine - and so dangerous - is that its diagnostic labels (‘depression,’ ‘schizophrenia’) aren’t tethered to actual pathological processes. These categories will expand or shrink as professional and economic interests dictate.
A sentence in the opening paragraph hints that the article will offer misogynistic views of women's health. "[An ovary] ages more than twice as fast as other organs." No. Ovaries transform to allow a woman to enter menopause. Postmenopausal women offer an advantage to the…
Current forms of "mental health awareness" are bad for our health. The focus on diagnosis leads to people believing that they're broken and in need of medical "fixing." If you're reading this, you have a 100% success rate of leaning into innate human resilience, which allows us…
Nearly 40% of women have a "mental health condition" says survey. Can't we ditch that language & the ideology it propagates & rather say: such women are in emotional pain, often for obvious socio-relational reasons. This take obliges a different response. theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
