This needs to be renamed to "timestamp with time zone quitely shifted to utc and stored that way losing the original time zone as input by the user". That's a little wordy, I know, but it would be more clear.

I've never understood this sentiment. Fridays are when "Production" decides to screw up and ruin developers' weekends, so why can't developers push on Fridays to ruin "Production's" weekend?

Would be nice if the author of the linked blog mentioned the tooling they used to “extend Postgres with rust.” I suppose they could have written their own FFI layer and such but I gotta imagine they used @pgrx_rs.
