𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘺, one of my favorite new ceramics drying under an easel ☀️

Underpaintings ☀️ Painting is when my thoughts finally go quiet. I especially love golden hour — the peaceful way the light hits after a long day makes the composition feel alive

Vibrant underpaintings and base layers today. Sunday studio mood ☀️
A peaceful, friendly mountain spirit ⛰️ Finding quiet moments in a loud, fast world. Like a mountain ☺️
𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 12 x 12 in. The mountains surrounding where I live feel like constant, unmoving spirits—steady and watchful as light shifts across them through changing weather and time. ☺️☀️

Raku fired ceramic with copper flashes and atmospheric effects from the firing process. I love the unpredictable nature of raku. ☺️ I enjoyed taking this one out for photos after firing—it feels like it belongs in nature 🍂

Some photos from a hike with my brother today 🌳 the forest is such a magical place

tbt working on the first layer of a painting, I love when a painting starts to take shape and the character kind of shows up on their own ✨

Underpainting 🌋 I’m so excited about this layered mountain spirit. I keep returning to the quiet, gentle spirits I sense in nature.

firing up some raku ceramics today 🪵 gm from this little sleepy guy

I was originally making something quick for glaze testing, and ended up working on a sleepy tree pot — I can’t wait to see how it turns out after firing, with a little tree growing from it. 🌳 It's funny how sometimes i end up liking the least planned and simply made things.

A small painting color study for a larger piece ⛰️ I love making these quick little studies— they let me experiment and see if the colors feel right before moving to a prepared canvas.
