"Chatting" with LLM feels like using an 80s computer terminal. The GUI hasn't been invented, yet but imo some properties of it can start to be predicted. 1 it will be visual (like GUIs of the past) because vision (pictures, charts, animations, not so much reading) is the 10-lane…
I posted the same thing two years ago. So sad that things are getting even worse.
Today I learned a student of mine from China gave up waiting for his Canadian visa after over a year without updates: 1. He was a Vector Scholarship awardee. 2. He had to set aside $20K under the Direct Stream (for faster visa processing), despite being my funded student. 3. He…

This seems to be a recurring story at the start of this academic year. It seems to target a few countries, more transparency would be welcome to advise students.

The same happened to me every year. Last year I have 5 offers accepted, only 2 can come. Canada is losing talents.

This is apparently not a single case. @CitImmCanada attention please: Canada needs more talents in AI, but why do we keep delaying visa for them without clear reasons?

Can we update model behavior immediately based on granular feedback from users? I think this is part of an important big picture direction — moves user feedback from cumbersome ask to adaptable in place learning. Work led by @RivardLuke and @yuntiandeng 🔥✨

Why don't you just say "this message is for Chinese researchers"? Besides, I am also amazed by your superpower to recognize the ethnicity of anonymous reviewers. Otherwise, how could one just assume a negative review is from a WeChat user?
