Aspiring Japanese Comprehender · 日本語 NOT THAT GREAT
New year, new Anki thread! I'll be posting monthly Anki Japanese study updates here.

I don't know, it's probably a bit of both. Any language in the same family tree will be easier, but Duolingo will always be focused on keeping you addicted to the app rather than learning. There are just fundamentally better ways to learn a language: x.com/yakusou8/statu…
Not really. I've heard it's better, but I'm not a fan of gamified learning apps in general. The goal is getting to the point where you can learn via native content, and something like Anki combined with a basic grammar guide should get you to that point much faster.
Wish I could be hopeful about all the anti-censorship posts I'm seeing now, but unfortunately I remember just a few weeks ago everyone celebrating some random Stellar Blade mod getting banned. I can't wait to see everyone's opinion on censorship next week.

"Should I continue using this thing that hasn't worked at all for 2 years straight?"

Finally saw my first Yosuga no Sora card today. It actually feels a little weird getting a new card that isn't from Leyline.

Redditors discuss "insane" propaganda. Who could be behind this? Putin, obviously.

Anki done a little early today. You're all doing your reps too, right?
