I hate to start the conversation, but Ian Happ’s performance this year has been replacement level at best. Outside of one hot stretch in June, Happ has been a hole besides his defense. You’d have to think Owen Caissie’s breakout in AAA has Jed Hoyer thinking Still don’t think…
If anything, getting blown out by the White Sox puts further pressure on Hoyer to make a trade sooner rather than later
Should this happen, maybe; will it happen, absolutely not
It’s time for Owen Caissie. Shit or get off the pot, Jed.
TIE GAME! A wild pitch gets us on the board in the bottom of the 8th.
Brewers lead 2-0 on back to back doubles by players you’ve never heard of
This Royals series is a great example of the Cubs dire need for pitching. Two non competitive starts by Brown and Rea against one of the WORST offenses in baseball
A dominant start by Boyd and two disastrous starts to start and end the series
ESPN has Washington left-hander McKenzie Gore as the Cubs’ No. 1 fit. I absolutely love that. Gore would instantly fit as a playoff-level starting pitcher with some of best stuff in the league. Trading Owen Caissie for Gore would be an acceptable outcome.
It’s absolutely absurd the Cubs aren’t starting Michael Busch against a 45-year-old lefty who throws in the mid 80s
Rich Hill made his MLB debut with the Cubs on June 15, 2005 against the FLORIDA Marlins Hill is set to face the Cubs on July 22, 2025
Cubs might be facing left-handed Rich Hill on Tuesday night
