“Human” and “human life” have biological and philosophical senses. The former is not complicated. The latter is. The fact that people disagree about the second does not license denying the first, that biological human life begins at conception. When *rights* begin is philosophy.

Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.
Michael Caine on why he did Jaws 4: “I’ve never seen the film, but I have seen the house it built.. and it’s terrific.”
NEW: Bondi was blindsided & angered by Tulsi's Russiagate/Obama dump and scrambled to create "Strike Force" as a fast fix, per sources. The bigger story: Trump thinks Bondi/DOJ is moving too slowly on vengeance investigations. Me and @julianbarnes nytimes.com/2025/07/24/us/…

Today’s NYT article on Canada and tariffs is mostly vague as to negotiations but again weirdly boils down to “but Canadian protectionism is good.”

Say, @tedfrank, what do you make of these latest developments. The statements by Maxwell's lawyer seem sketchy...
Again, the Tl;dr of the coverup Trump is trying to carry out is that he fired the prosecutor who would represent the interests of the victims, then sent his personal defense attorney to negotiate a cooperation deal to spring Ghislaine Maxwell from prison. emptywheel.net/2025/07/22/tru…
I think the idea that “The President is simultaneously an institution beyond the reach of criminal law and also a private person who can file $10 billion defamation suits when he dislikes a news article” is not very sensible.
