Labour-led Westminster is delivering for local residents whilst keeping council tax low. Our budget delivers more support for adult social care; temporary accommodation; tackling rough sleeping; rent support & £2m on dealing with ASB inc 200 CCTV cameras westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/financi…

American candy stores are popping up across high streets in my constituency and it is hard to believe that these are credible or legitimate businesses. This week, I pressed HMRC on improving local enforcement to close the tax gap and ensure these businesses pay their fair share.
Great that Westminster is now able to roll out Selective Licensing across our city, raising standards for private renters and helping us crack down on those who abuse the trust of their tenants. Thanks to @MattNoble_ for getting this done. westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/2025/05…
Really good news for the West End and St James's as thanks to Mayor @SadiqKhan and the Met there are going to be an additional 80 police officers cracking down on crime in the heart of our city. westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/2025/07…
We're launching big plans for the West End: ✅Refurbed Regent Street with new cycle lanes & removed central median ✅Huge, new traffic-free space on Regent Street St James ✅Two-way traffic on Haymarket ✅Triple the pedestrian space at Piccadilly Circus westminster.gov.uk/news/westminst…
I spoke to today at Full Council on the work @wminsterlabour is doing to protect private renters. The Conservatives, described it as ‘rubbish’, ‘pointless’ and ‘twaddle’. I wonder what the 53,000 private renters in Westminster will think about that. westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/2025/05…
Westminster Tories try to shut down debate on Council’s Selective Licensing scheme to protect private renters and abstain on the vote because it seems they can’t agree whether they support it or not (they opposed it when they were in power)
The Tories have been too busy in-fighting to focus on local issues. This defection shows that the Conservatives are a spent force in Westminster. 🌹 The only true voice of residents in Lancaster Gate is @wminsterlabour. From me & @RyanJudeGreen 👇🏻 westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/communi…
The divisive politics of Reform have no place in our wonderful local community. The Tories have been too busy in-fighting to focus on local issues. 🌹 The only true voice of residents in Lancaster Gate is @wminsterlabour. From me & @ormsby_ellie 👇🏾 westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/communi…

BREAKING: This Labour government is delivering the biggest boost to social and affordable housing investment in a generation.
A long overdue step to restore security to Westminster's tenants as @wminsterlabour restores traditional secure council tenancies. In 2013 the Tories scrapped them, making thousands of households feel more insecure for a power to refuse renewal only used twice in 12 years.

Delighted to see this announcement building on work done by Labour Westminster & @SadiqKhan over the last few years which has seen all children 3-14 get free school meals. This means that from September 2026 young people aged 14-18 from families on UC will get free school meals.
✅ Putting nearly £500 more in parents’ pockets ✅ Lifting 100,000 children out of poverty ✅ Driving better behaviour, attainment and wellbeing ✅ Setting children up to learn ✅ Easing cost of living pressures
Leaseholders in Kensington and Bayswater shouldn’t have to deal with issues like unaffordable hikes to service charges and poor managing agent quality on their own. I’m taking action to support leaseholders — and that’s why I’ve set up a Leaseholder Action Group. Join my…
Mobile data in central London isn't good enough. I'm pleased we've been able to work with @OntixUK and @EE to add 80 new 5G cells to @CityWestminster lamp columns. Every little helps. newsroom.ee.co.uk/central-london…
If you have a project in your local area of Westminster to cut emissions and help us tackle the climate crisis please do look into the new £6m Climate Fund. Thanks to @RyanJudeGreen and @w9maidavale for their work getting this underway. westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/environ…
Giving our tenants security about their futures in Westminster is something @wminsterlabour has campaigned for over many years. Delighted that @LizaBegum_ and the team are delivering on restoring secure life time tenancies westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/housing…
Very happy to attend our @CityWestminster event promoting our new policy of raising the threshold of when residents have to pay for Adult Social Care. From this year, 315 more service users will no longer pay for ASC and 147 will pay less.
The before and after photos for the legend that is @PDimoldenberg . So proud that he gets the chance to be Lord Mayor of @CityWestminster this year.
We will restore confidence in policing and deliver security for working people. Our Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee will put 13,000 more officers on our streets and make sure that people across the country are entitled to the same standards from the police.
